Michael Walsh
Chief Executive Officer • Cariloop
Michael Walsh is the Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Board Chair of Cariloop, where he leads with a deep commitment to easing the stress and anxiety felt by caregivers.
Michael founded Cariloop after experiencing caregiving firsthand early in his life, when his grandfather suffered an aneurysm, and he helped support his family through the demands of care, work, and home life. He saw how overwhelming it can be to make major care decisions with little guidance, an experience that shaped his vision to create a new standard for how organizations support caregivers and their families.
Since founding Cariloop in 2012, Michael has guided the company’s growth into a leader in the employee benefits industry, raising $44 million to expand access to caregiving support. Under his leadership, Cariloop became a Certified B Corp and Public Benefit Corporation, reflecting its commitment to meeting high standards for social impact, accountability, and transparency. Cariloop has since been recognized on the INC 5000 (2022, 2023), the Dallas 100 (2022, 2023), Dallas Innovates Future 50 (2023), and the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 (2023).
Michael’s commitment to service extends beyond Cariloop, where he has served as President of the Dallas Roundtable, mentors entrepreneurs through Health Wildcatters, and supports Conscious Capitalism initiatives both locally and nationally. He also volunteers at Children’s Health Dallas as a patient pal.
He lives in Plano, Texas, with his wife, Melanie, and their two dogs, Reese and Bailey.
