Event Description:

We are excited to sponsor the next Digital Health Innovation Forum. We will feature the team that compiled and submitted the application for the State of Kansas for the Rural Health Transformation Program. Not only was their application accepted, but it received approximately $22 million more than their Year 1 request, making it one of the largest awards among the 50 states. Overall, the program dedicates to all 50 states a $50 billion dollar budget from the One Big Beautiful Bill meant to be disbursed over 5 years. It is to focus on value-based care expansion, workforce development, technology and digital health, sustainable access to care, and innovative care models. All of these are vital, but we are especially interested in the digital health and innovative care models aspects.

Event Speakers:

Our panelists include Jodi Schmidt, Executive Director of the Care Collaborative, the state-wide accountable care primary health network of the University of Kansas Health System. Joining Jodi will be Dr. Bob Moser, Medical Director and co-founder of the Care Collaborative and former Dean of the University of Kansas Medical Center in Salina. They will be supported by project partner Martie Ross, Director of the Center for Rural Health Advancement for the consulting firm PYA. Our moderator for the evening will be Dick Flanigan, CEO of Digital Health KC.
